Well overdue with this post! I guess we are getting into the retired laid back life. We’ve been here in Moncos Colorado for two weeks already. Been living above 6000 feet for 2 months. Checked a few places off the list. We’ve had beautiful weather and some not so nice monsoonal weather but we’ve managed to get out and about. Mesa Verde was awesome. Here are a few pictures of Mesa Verde…

After Mesa Verde we visited Telluride. What a beautiful drive through the Rockies! And what a nice little town nestled in the valley. We took Finn and had nice little lunch. After that we went to 4 Corners. and saw some amazing landscapes in-between. And we celebrated my birthday at an amazing restaurant called The Boathouse in Mancos! The best food I have eaten so far on our journey. Who knew!

We’ve been riding bikes here which has been fun! Visited a few fun breweries and a fun cider house here in Mancos. It’s been a trip staying in one place for around a month. We feel like we really get to know our neighborhood before we head on down the road. We’ve learned the economy of staying at a park for a month! The cost is about half of paying a weekly or daily rate. Pays to do your homework.
This Saturday we had an Italian potluck dinner. It was a RV park dinner and we met a lot of our fellow Nomads. Fun evening followed by a torrential down pour!

I do think we are on the younger end of the spectrum of the Nomads we have met. We will see how long we can keep moving on down the road. We will be here for a few more weeks. Have plans for more visits in the area and we are in the planning stage for the next few months. We will be heading back down to Albuquerque then east back to Oklahoma and to Hill Country in Oklahoma. We missed our planed stay there on our way south because of our truck issues in Indiana in May and Joel really wants to go there. Cedar Lake here we come. Then headed to Hill Country in Texas. Do you see a theme here “Hill Country”? We haven’t found that magic place yet but the search is still on.
Little reality here we had to get prescriptions transferred and refilled and get the dogs rabies shot. You can do anything when living the Nomad life. You just have to plan ahead and have patience…lol any of you how know me I plan ahead but am short on patience. On a brighter note it has been so fun to be reconnected with the world and be part of the enthusiasm around the election. So nice to have a more positive message. We have HOPE for the future.
Almost at 4 months and we have traveled 7,555 miles! Betty and the Frey are doing great and so are Theo, Finn, and Joel and Kathy lol. We love all of our followers and we miss our friends and family. Thanks for all of the birthday wishes!
