Albuquerque, Santa Fe, and Pagosa Springs!

We are in the mountains now! Cooler temps and lot’s of green!

We had a quick timeline to visit Albuquerque and Santa Fe on our way north. We left Silver City about 9:30 am and had a 260 mile drive from Manzanos in Silver City too Bernaillio just a bit north of downtown Albuquerque. Went through Hatch New Mexico and saw lots of peppers. Arrived at highway 25 and went north. All systems go. The vehicles and the animals have all been awesome. We pulled into the Albuquerque North KOA in Bernalillo in the early afternoon and set up camp. Hung out, went to the pool and made dinner. Got up and arranged the animals etc. and drove to Old Town. We walked around and looked at the many tourist shops, did a little wine tasting, and had a yummy lunch. Fun day! Here are a few pictures:

Went back and swam and hung out. Decided to do a chill day on Friday and go to Santa Fe on Saturday. It was nice to relax! Although we went into Bernaillio and Joel got a haircut while I got a pedicure and we went grocery shopping. Then we had a beer at a Kaktus Brewery which is connected to our RV Park. Got there a few minutes early and the Owner Dana poured us a beer and welcomed us anyway. Super nice guy! He gave us a growler from a brewery up here in Pagosa Springs and told us to take it to the owner and say hi. They are friends sand he figured it would be a fun way to start a conversation. Beer was good and we enjoyed our visit. Go see them if you’re in the area!

So Saturday am we got up and did the routine with animals etc. and headed up to see Santa Fe. It is a very nice city with lot’s of adobe and lots of art. Pretty high end community. I did like the feel of the Old town. We had a fun little tour, had a little lunch, toured some more and headed home. We decided not to try and do the art festival just because we didn’t have enough time. We try to not leave for more than 5 or 6 hours because of Finn. It was an hour there and an hour back so we only had about 3 hours to trip around. Here a few pictures.

Made it back after a fun visit in Santa Fe and relaxed. Early morning to pack up the truck and prepare to move up to Pagosa Springs! We got on the road by about 8:45 and it was a pretty drive up to our location at the Last Resort RV Park 7050 feet in elevation. Tomorrow we will start to explore Pagosa Springs! I see a Hot springs dip in my future. Stay tuned because there is so much to see where we are now. I hope to post some great pictures taken on Marilyn’s camera that I have inherited. We did some testing while she was visiting and I am excited to perfect my photography. Until next time!
