It’s D Day – Nomad Adventures are at it Again

Well it’s been about a year since my last blog post. Hard to believe! No More Truck – Betty is off to a new home. No more Trailer – the Frey is traveling with strangers. It’ll just be me and Joel this time hopping on a plane to France with a couple of carry ons for a month. Theo is off to Molly’s house and Finn will be dropped off with Uncle David and Auntie Lori. We leave tomorrow!

Have you ever traveled abroad for a month… with just a carry-on?

Yeah, us neither. But here we are—about to find out if this is genius… or a terrible life decision.

We’re leaving from Pasco to Seattle–Tacoma International Airport and Paris Charles De Gaulle armed with optimism, questionable packing choices, and exactly five outfits each (don’t worry, you’ll probably see them a lot).

From there, we’re off to Giverny to stroll through Claude Monet’s Garden and pretend we totally planned this minimalist lifestyle… and then on to Normandy for history, scenery, and (hopefully) laundry access.

Follow along as we test the limits of carry-on living, our fashion creativity, and our ability to not buy a second suitcase by day five.

This should be interesting. 😄✈️

So excited to get started even with the news that there are lines for gas in Paris. We will be on the ground living the life of the French people and reporting to you live. I’m sitting at my desk for the last time until we return. I’m transforming as we speak into a foreign correspondent. I’ll give a quick update of the start of our adventure tomorrow from Seattle then on to foreign lands. Home sweet home for me.

A bientǒt!
